AVG Anti-Virus Error

If you are using AVG FREE Virus software today it began reporting incorrectly that a file "C:\Spasalon\dswp_0" used by the Spa-Salon Manager as a virus. I have submitted a report to AVG to correct their error, but in the mean time AVG could lock you out of the Spa-Salon Manager. To avoid this I have outlined steps to correct the problem. Please be aware this is a problem with AVG and not Spa-Salon Manager.  Customers using Norton Anti-Virus are not affected by this issue.

Double click the AVG icon in the bottom right corner of your screen by the time.
Click Tools
Click Advanced Settings
Click Exceptions
Click Add Path
Click My Computer
Click Local C Drive
Scroll down until you see the folder SpaSalon
Click the SpaSalon folder
Click Ok
Click Ok again
Close the AVG window with the X in the right corner.

After this procedure the AVG Virus software will work with the Spa-Salon Manager software. I have had many calls during this evening regarding this problem. Please contact us if you need  additional help. Unfortunately, AVG does not offer technical support for their free product.

Sincerely,

Thank you for your email.

It is possible that the detected file is a false alarm. This means that the file is clean and virus-free, but AVG detects it as a virus. If so, we will prepare the correction as soon as possible. Unfortunately, false alarms do appear from time to time in every security software.
