The Spa/Salon Manager has teamed up with industry-leader
X-Charge Solutions™ to bring you competitive rate, credit card processing
right from your Spa/Salon program.
Using the "X-Charge" software program (developed by CAM)
in conjunction with the "Customer Check Out" screen, you can quickly and
easily process credit card transactions.
With this setup, you will no longer need your credit
card terminal or credit card receipt printer. Instead, you will swipe the
customer credit card using a special swipe reader (optional) attached to
your computer and credit card receipts will print on your Epson or Star
receipt printer!
System Requirements:
- The Spa/Salon Manager software program
- X-Charge software by CAM Commerce Solutions.
- A working modem on your computer and available phone
line or high speed internet
- Epson receipt printer
- A signed merchant agreement with CAM Commerce

How it Works:
- When you are completing a sale in The Spa/Salon
Manager, type the amount in the credit card area.
- When the special credit card screen appears, swipe the
customer card.
- Click Authorization Receipt
- When the sale completes, a credit card receipt
prints for
the customer to sign.
- Add any tip amount.
- Press "Save" to complete the sale.
Great for Booth Rental:
- Each sale can automatically
be credited to the proper booth renter without any user
intervention. Simply do the check out and the money is automatically
deposited to the correct booth renters account.
The Spa/Salon Manager, talking to X-Charge software,
processes the transaction using your computer's modem or internet
connection. When the transaction is complete, The Spa/Salon Manager gives
you the status of the transaction (approved, declined, reason, etc.).
Then, as you complete the sale, it will print both a customer receipt and
credit card slip for the customer to sign - it's that simple.

ext. 110. She may ask you to provide your last merchant card processing
statement to determine the best rates they can provide. Identify
yourself as a Spa/Salon Manager customer to be included with our group
rates.
- After reviewing and accepting their offer, sign a
merchant agreement with X-Charge.
- Install the X-Charge CD that is sent to you.
- Call us to configure The Spa/Salon Manager and

F.A.Q.
Q. Can I use X-Charge with a DSL or cable modem
connection?
A. Yes, processing credit cards can be done in 6 seconds including
the receipt.
Q. Will any modem, work with X-Charge?
A. There have been mixed results testing modems with X-Charge. If
your modem is 100% Hayes-compatible it should work fine, if not we suggest
a US Robotics external modem connected to an open serial port on the back
of your PC. The only way
to determine if your modem is compatible is to install X-Charge software
and run a test "Settlement review".
Q. What other fees or charges apply using X-Charge?
A. X-Charge charges a $10/month statement fee (as most processors
do) to prepare and mail monthly credit card statements to you. CAM also
charges a $10/month support charge which includes X-charge software tech
support and version updates to their software.
Q. Can I process credit cards in The Spa/Salon Manager
with my current merchant service?
A. No. The Spa/Salon Manager is programmed to talk only to the
X-Charge software and the computers at CAM Commerce only. If you want to
process credit cards directly from The Spa/Salon Manager you must use
X-Charge and CAM Commerce.
Q. It is required that I process credit cards from The
Spa/Salon Manager?
A. No. You can process credit cards using any bank that you are
comfortable with using the equipment provided by that bank. However, our
rates for equipment are competitively priced and many store owners like
the integration we've built into the software.
Q. Is the service available for Canadian customers?
A. Yes, X-Charge now works for Canada.
Q. Will X-Charge software be shipped to me with a user
guide?
A. Yes, after the approval is complete, you will receive a welcome
package from CAM Commerce with X-Charge and complete documentation.
Q. How long does the application approval process take?
A. Normally 5 business days.
Q. I'm running 2 POS stations, do I need 2 phone lines
and 2 modems?
A. No. X-Charge can be configured to use a single modem on a "server" with
a single phone line.
Q. What credit cards can I process using X-Charge:
A. X-Charge supports all major credit cards.
Q. Are there modems that work particularly well with
with this process.
A. All modems should work fine, however, we've had excellent
success and recommend the U.S. Robotics external modem (28.8 kbs or
faster).
