12/20/23 Added support for prompting for duplicate receipts to the Pay In / Out section (gift certificates, IOU's, etc). This feature will also turn on a duplicate receipt for regular sales as it has in the past. 11/15/23 Added a feature to Management Alerts for our customers using our paid texting service. When entering an email address for a management alert you can now enter your cell phone number with no dashes instead (ex. 9375551212) and you will receive your management alerts as a text instead of an email.
11/15/23 Added an option to print 2 receipts for all Pay In/Out transactions. To turn on this feature go into Utility, then File Utilities.  In the File Name box, type in RcDup0.Gc and click Create.  If you need help with these steps, please call us at 800-682-2998.
11/12/23 Changed the warning message about Maximum Employees to only show when Add Employee is selected instead of every time Employee Maintenance is selected.
11/08/23 Added a change for salons that were having issues with text messages showing the right message locally but sending out a different message. This was a very uncommon issue but this change should address the causes for computers that were having this issue.
11/06/23 Added an option to show the amounts on gift certificate purchases and services paid for with an IOU both on the customer history screen. You will still need to look at the Account Summaries -> List Accounts in Detail report to get full details on the transaction but with this change you can see entries for G/c Purchase and Paid w/ IOU in the Customer Profile screen. 10/31/23 Updated the Inventory Order process so that removing or changing an item will highlight the item that you last changed instead of going to the top of the list again.
10/26/23 Added an option to have all customers default to No for having access to the online booking. This makes it so you have to manually fill in both the email address and check the Allow Online box for someone to have access to the online booking. 09/20/23 Added several quality of life improvements to the Code Number functionality. When adding a new item to the system the program will automatically come up with a valid code on the screen. When hitting Next Item the program will try to go to the next available number (normally counting by 5's) but if that's taken will find the next code number available after that. When adding items to the program the system will automatically set up the next available code number for the next item rather than just going up by your normal increment (usually 5). When clicking on the Code Number label on the Inventory Add screen the system will now use what's currently in the box as a starting point. That way if you want a code number in the 2000's for example you could put in 2000, click on the words Code Number to the left, and it will either leave the 2000 there if it's available or give you the first available number after that if it's not. Finally, if you save a new inventory item with a code number that's already taken the system will give you an option to use an available number right after there (the first one it can find after the number you were using) and if you say Yes it will save it with the updated number.
09/20/23 Corrected an issue when adding multiple inventory items in a row with the category/classification/supplier sorting turned on. When adding a new category/classification/supplier to the system the following items would have the wrong category/classification/supplier saved even though the correct one showed on the screen. This now works correctly.
09/08/23 Added an option to the Gift Certificate sales screen to add a sticky note to the customer's account to show up at Check Out that will show the gift certificate number that was purchased. That way if they didn't have the gift certificate (like if they're picking it up or were pre-paying for a service over the phone) the person checking them out will know which gift certificate number to use. 09/05/23 Fixed a problem with the Date Range Report -> Employee Information with the New Customer column. It was not reflecting the correct information for certain businesses.

08/30/23 Added Google and Meta tracking to the online booking for any companies that use those services.
08/23/23 Added an option to never print schedules for rooms, even if you select All for the employee list. To turn this feature on go into Utility, then File Utilities.  In the File Name box, type in ApSch0.Nrm and click Create.  If you need help with these steps, please call us at 800-682-2998.
08/17/23 Made a change to Room Setup. When the program starts up it now makes sure all rooms are open from open to close each day so as to not have issues with invalid working hours on the rooms preventing booking. It also checks for any invalid room selections - for example having a service that requires a room but having that room off payroll or not having the room at all - and if it finds any room selections that are invalid will change that selection back to 'No Room Required' for that service to avoid any booking issues.
08/15/23 In an effort to simplify the email process we've removed some options from the email screen. The Artwork by IBCS has been taken off as has the button to access email within SpaSalon as customer should now be checking their emails either through email.spasalon.com or through the email account we forward their messages to. In addition, the buttons for sending text advertisements as well as scheduling future emails have been removed from the default screen that most salons will see. If you need to use either the text advertisements or the scheduled email blasts you can turn on this feature by going into Utility, then File Utilities.  In the File Name box, type in EmAdv0.Yes and click Create.  If you need help with these steps, please call us at 800-682-2998.
08/10/23 Updated the Appointment Details screen to show more of the appointment comments by utilizing existing screen space.

07/28/23 Updated the Maintenance section under Maintence -> Company so that setting the default back to showing the address first under Customer Display worked correctly instead of the new default of showing phone numbers first that was added back on 6/13.

06/29/23 Removed the prompt to save changes when changing screens from the Customer Display screen. Now if you've made any changes and hit one of the buttons such as Customer Profile from there any changes will be saved automatically without the prompt.

06/29/23 Updated Michigan state tax with a reduction from 4.25% to 4.05%.
06/26/23 Added the Retail Price to the order screen when adding items to an order. This allows you to catch issues with prices before printing your new labels for the order.
06/23/23 Added the Performance Recap report to the list of Stored Reports.
06/20/23 Revamped the Family Checkout process. In the past, if someone closed out of a family checkout mid-way all of the customers that had been checked out so far stayed checked out. Unfortunately this could lead to confusion about how to finish the transaction - now the system will void all finished transactions in a family checkout if you don't finish the entire process so that you can start from scratch and not worry about where you'd left off.
06/20/23 Added an option for the Family Checkout to hide the selection for who's paying the bill as well as the question as to whether someone is paying later if you're already started a family checkout. 06/13/23 Turned off the Address pop up when information is not entered into the system by default. 06/13/23 Changed the default for Check In / Customer Display to show phone numbers first with a button to show address. Most salons do not collect address information since most all customers communications is done via email or text messages.
06/05/23 Added an option to not show the service provider on the confirmation screen and confirmation emails when the appointment is a non-request. 06/03/23 Added the option to send the data files used for reports in addition to the exported PDF/XLS (Excel) file. These data files are in a dBase IV format and can be opened directly in Microsoft Excel. 06/03/23 Added the option to turn off the email screen from coming up when exporting a file. Instead, after setting all the options it will immediately send the exported files rather than popping the email screen up and requiring that you hit Send to finish. 03/16/23 Changed how the Edit Info button operates when changing a comment. In order to have better tracking under the Appointment Log section changing a comment now behaves the same as the process when you changed the appointment timings and cancels and rebooks the appointment. This lets you see in the appointment log when comments were altered.
