These are all of the enhancements/fixes to the Spa/Salon Manager for the year 2000.

12/19/00 Updated Download from the Web for program updates to the newest version. This should make obtaining updates a little quicker.  If you have a DSL type connection  at you salon and your not downloading your updates contact IBCS for instructions.
12/19/00 Updated Payroll System to automatically update for 2001 California state taxes.
12/15/00 Added the Spa Setup back into the Maintenance section it was accidentally removed.
12/14/00 Added new feature to the Payroll to allow Federal and State tax tables to be updated automatically.  When either the Payroll Ending Date or the Payroll Check Date is within the new year the system automatically updates the Federal Tax Table including Social Security maximum wages. If the state tax table is found, it is updated as well. This feature requires the optional Payroll Manager. The following states are not supported for automatic updates due to their states complexities... AZ, CA, CT, GA, MD, MO, MS and OR. These states will require additional information to complete.  AZ, CT, MS, and OR state taxes did not change.
12/13/00 Made corrections to the Demographics Report.
12/08/00 Fixed a problem that could cause the Cancel Entire Day button not to show up on the cancellation screen.
12/07/00 Added a new feature to the Appointment Book. When at the Appointment Detail screen a new option is Pre-Price. Clicking the Pre-Price option allows the service, employee or service price to be changed. Clicking the Retail button permits retail items to be added to the customers bill. The changes made are automatically posted when the customer is checked out. Pre-Price allows terminals throughout the salon to update customers' sales information and verify service prices.
12/07/00 Made a change to the appointment move process to allow appointments to be moved over top of themselves. ie: if appointment was at 2:00 it can be moved to 2:15 without getting an error message.
12/01/00 Fixed a problem that caused change applied to Gift Certificates to not save correctly.
11/30/00 Added customer password to restrict access to customer year-to-date and life-to-date totals.
11/30/00 Added italics and underlines to the current day, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 8 weeks on the Month View of the Appointment Book.
11/30/00 Changed the prices that come up for Salon,Card sales.  The prices were coming up as $0.00, and have been changed to come up with level 1 prices. 
11/30/00 Added dates to the Pay In/Out section of the daily sheet.
11/30/00 Fixed a problem that caused products added to a ticket under Correction -> Change Payment Method from Transaction Today to not have their quantity on hand changed.

11/15/00 Fixed a problem that caused Restore Weekly Backup to not operate correctly.
11/15/00 Changed the Work Tickets when printing a single work ticket per customer the system now prints the employee name based upon the first employee performing services for that customer. 
11/14/00 Fixed a problem with the Change Payment Method from Transaction Today that caused the on hand amount on items returned to the shelf to not be adjusted correctly. 
11/14/00 Added the Intel Pro PC Camera to the list of supported cameras.  Many of the other cameras have been discontinued, and since the Intel Pro PC Camera is very easy to set up and relatively inexpensive, it is now the camera we recommend for use with our program. 
11/13/00 When booking a new customer and clicking the Customer Address button the system started at the address line and moved to the continue when pressing Enter.  The system now moves to the next address line.
11/10/00 Added key pads for touch screen/mouse users to the inventory modification and gift certificate purchase screen.
11/10/00 Fixed the Accounting Posting when the system was to group a deposit together it was entering each line into the accounting separately.  In other words the system would make a deposit for cash and another for check. Now the system will make a Deposit for the total of cash and checks and show the breakdown in the transaction splits.
11/10/00 Added the ability to define an End Date for standing appointments in both our Dos program and our Windows program.  By tying an ending date to a standing appointment, you can enter scheduling changes or customer appointments that should only take place up to a certain date.
11/10/00 Updated the Close Day when a customer was checked out twice the system now shows the names and the amounts of the sales instead of just having a message telling you that their were duplicate check outs.
11/10/00 Changed the Canadian GST and PST taxes to round up when calculating those taxes.
11/09/00 Fixed the Confirming when adding a new feature on 10/26/00 the system was not marking people confirmed properly.
11/09/00 Updated the Inventory Index program to handle duplicate codes that were entered by the system incorrectly.
11/08/00 Fixed the tab order for the perm technical card. After rod top it was skipping to the comment line instead of the other rod nape. 
11/06/00 Fixed a problem with the Payroll Modify Employee would not show receptionist in the list.
11/06/00 Added new feature to the Payroll Unemployment Report. The report now shows the Federal and State Taxable Wages are used to calculate the Federal and State Unemployment taxes due.
11/06/00 Gift Certificate by name allowed a blank name Gift Certificate to be issued. The system now warns and does not allow that situation since there is no way to retrieve a blank name Gift Certificate.
11/03/00 Added new feature to Customer Check in an option to specify that a customer should not be allowed to book an appointment. Selecting Do Not Book will not allow the customer to book an appointment in the system. A warning is displayed when the trying to book the customer.
11/03/00 Added a new report to the Mailing Reports section called Follow-up Report.  This report shows the last visit date, service, and employee for each customer listed, as well as their home phone and work phone.
11/03/00 Updated the Employee Detailed Daily Report to not print a second page when only a single employee is listed. The summary is only printed when multiple employees are chosen.
11/03/00 Changed the Correction section for people using the feature that allows registers to be closed out separately.  Now, only managers can see the sales from other computers, and the computer name and employee that ran the sale through show on the correction screen.
11/02/00 Added new feature to Group Booking to allow groups to be scheduled during non-working hours. When selecting "Only book this date" the system asks whether to Ignore Work Hours to allow a group to be scheduled on a Sunday for example.
11/01/00 Added new feature to the Commission Calculation to Pay Retail Commissions by Piecewise and still pay service commissions on the whole amount.  An example should explain this feature. Total retail sales of $200 and the rates are as follows 0-100 is 10% and 100 to 500 is 12% Piecewise commission would pay 10$ on the first $100 dollars and $12 for the second $100 dollars for a total of $22.  Normal commission on the whole amount would be $24.  The Piecewise setting is under the Advanced Commission options.
11/01/00 Added the ability to add and modify inventory items during the order process.
10/31/00 Added new feature to Employee Maintenance for Day Spas when working with rooms the system allows you to define a Preferred Room allowing a technician to stay in a single room as much as possible.
10/26/00 Fixed a problem with the change made on 10/24/00 which caused problems pulling up certain inventory items.
10/26/00 Changed the Work Ticket/Technical Card report so that customers booked in an assistant column will have a copy of the Work Ticket/Technical Card printed for the assistant.
10/26/00 Fixed a problem with the change made on 10/04/00 that caused the appointment book to run 20-30% slower than it had in the past.
10/26/00 Corrected the Confirming to update the totals as each employee is confirmed.
10/26/00 Added to the Verify Monies to open the cash drawer when this selection is chosen.
10/26/00 Increased the maximum number of scheduled services shown on the Work Ticket from ten to fifteen services.
10/25/00 When adding new inventory items, added a warning if a duplicate bar code has been entered.
10/25/00 The Check Register report was not showing Pay In/Out transactions.  This has been fixed.
10/25/00 Cancel All and Cancel Rest buttons were not available to employees that were set up with a custom password which allowed them access.  This has been fixed.
10/25/00 Updated the Close Day when using the Cash Helper the system now updates the difference in cash as you type in the information.
10/24/00 Updated Customer Check In on new customers you must choose Referred By to enter a referred customer name.
10/24/00 Updated the System Utility and File Maintenance. These utilities now operate 10 times faster than before.  The System Utility is no longer affected by screen savers.  This also corrected the Date Range Retail report which was not showing any items.
10/24/00 Updated the Appointment Schedules to not print any employees that are off payroll.
10/24/00 Cleaned up the Close Day report under Owner Reports to make it take less paper.
10/19/00 Fixed a problem that caused the Outstanding Balances report to show erroneous information if the transactions had sales tax tied to them.
10/19/00 The fix on 10/09/00 for the items that showed "No Longer Stocked" caused customer profiles not to update correctly during corrections.  This has been fixed.
10/18/00 Updated the Inventory Ordering to show the Supplier that was ordered on the Final Order Report.
10/18/00 Added in the ability to change the order of the employees on the appointment book so that they are sorted by classification, and then first name.  If this option is chosen, the order of employees on the book would then match the order that they are in on the View Select screen when sorting is turned on.  Performing this option can take several hours, during which the computers can not be used at all.  Contact IBCS for more information about this feature.  
10/17/00 Updated the Appointment Working Hours to update the appointment book immediately when the working hours are changed.
10/17/00 Fixed the Detail Level button in the Appointment Book the information was not saving when the Spa/Salon Manager was started each time.
10/17/00 Added new feature to the Open Register it now has a Cash Helper to add the money.
10/17/00 Updated the Installation program to allow US Funds to be entered as a transaction type. US Funds was added on 10/2 for our Canadian customers.
10/16/00 Fixed a problem with the Physical Count report that caused the report to cut the inventory name off after the first 25 characters.
10/16/00 Fixed a problem with when the 2nd and 3rd room types were left blank Search did not book the rooms correctly.  The system now checks to make sure the 2nd and 3rd room type are set to Not Required instead of blank.
10/16/00 Fixed a problem that made it possible to change the amount of IOU and Gift Certificates under the Correction -> Change Payment Method from Transaction Today.  To correct IOU's and Gift Certificates, you should run a sale through Pay In/Out.
10/16/00 Fixed the Remove button for IOU's and Gift Certificates. We tried to enhance the speed of this operation, but it was not removing the transactions properly.
10/16/00 Added new feature to Pay In/Out. If you have a category setup as Discounted Cash the system will allow a percentage to be deducted when exchanging a transaction type for cash. Normally used in Booth Rent situation where the business will allow the renter to use their credit card machine with a percentage charged to the renter. The percentage can be set by creating the file cash_0.dis. If the percentage is specified the rate can not be changed.
10/16/00 Added new feature when booking an appointment the system now warns if the customer has an IOU on file.
10/13/00 Fixed the Schedule Maintenance when the Appointment Screen was redesigned this feature was killed on accident.
10/13/00 Added new feature to the Account Summary the system now allows Searching of Gift Certificates by number when a Gift Certificate name is not taken.
10/12/00 Added new feature to the Payroll Calculations. When entering the Payroll Dates the system allows you to specify whether Retail Commissions should be paid. The system defaults to paying the Retail Commission with the payroll. Removing the checkmark from the Pay Retail Commissions tells the system to not pay retail. When you are ready to pay retail changing the Retail Starting and Ending dates allows you to include the retail checks with a regular payroll, but the totals are accumulated for the dates specified. This means you can include the Retail Commission for the month with their last check, without performing a separate Retail Commission check.
10/12/00 Added new feature to the Payroll Calculation to specify that an employee receives the greater amount between two pay types. This allows you to pay an employee based upon the greater of either service and hourly pay.  To setup this feature use Commission setup is done under the Maintenance Menu under the Advanced button.
10/09/00 Added in the ability to change the ending portion of the email message that the system sends to confirm appointments.  This can be changed under Maintenance -> Appointment -> Email Confirmation.
10/09/00 Fixed a problem that caused retail items changed under correction to show "No Longer Stocked" instead of the name of the item.
10/06/00 Updated the Standing appointments when adding a standing in the future the system would not allow the standing to be entered unless the next standing appointment could also be scheduled.
10/05/00 Updated the Remove IOU, Gift Certificate and NSF Check to perform much faster.
10/05/00 Added in the ability to change the price of a service as it's added through the Add Service option, rather than having to change it once you finished adding it in.
10/05/00 Fixed a problem that made 100% commission rates not save correctly.
10/05/00 Fixed a problem that could cause rooms not to be cancelled if more than one appointment was booked during the same day on the same employee's column.
10/04/00 Changed the way that the Detail Level screen operates.  Instead of asking for the column width and row height, it now asks how many columns to show, and how many rows to show.  You can also tell it to show all available columns.
10/02/00 Added new feature to allow Canadian customers to create a transaction type called US Funds. At Customer Check Out clicking on the US Funds prompt displays the amount of US Dollars required to pay the bill.  The system allows you to enter the US Funds and calculates the change in Canadian based upon a Exchange Rate that is set in Company Maintenance.
10/02/00 Changed the Appointment Schedules so that the Finish Time on an appointment showed Finish Time as the service name, rather than the name of the service.
10/02/00 Updated the Appointment Book to clarify options that were hidden under the Extra Button.  The Extra Button was removed and a row of choices were added to the bottom of the appointment screen. These new choices include, Confirming, Schedules, Tickets-Tech, Appointment Log, Week View, Standing View and Appointment Setup.  The Week View now highlights in red when active to show you are looking a single employees schedule for the week. The Standing View shows in red also to signify only the standing appointments are showing on the screen at that time.  Appointment Setup contains  Standings, Booking Styles, Special Customers, Working Hours and Schedule Maintenance. 

Corrected the Appointment Book when moving the mouse to book an appointment. Frequently the system would not recognize your first mouse click. The system now books on the first mouse click.

10/02/00 Updated system for the Canadian customers to show the correct wording for Province instead of State and Postal Code instead of Zip Code. Also corrected the Social Insurance to accept the digits as 3 digit pairs under Employee Maintenance More Info.
09/29/00 Added new feature to the Appointment book to scan quickly to the top of the book, Double Click on the Up Arrow.  To scan to the bottom of the book, double click on the Down Arrow.
09/29/00 Added the ability to read new intercom messages to the clock in/out procedure.
09/29/00 Fixed a problem that caused the first gift certificate redeemed on any given day to not show up correctly on the daily sheet after a correction was done. 
09/29/00 Fixed a problem that caused gift certificate totals to show up incorrectly if they involved sales tax.
09/27/00 Added the ability to print future appointments on the SP200 receipt printer.  Call IBCS for information on how to set this feature up.
09/25/00 Added new feature to allow Groups of people to be booked in a single process.  Under the Extra button of the Appointment a new option is available Group Booking. For details on how to use this option see the Receptionist Training. 
09/25/00 At Customer Check In the address lines and the comment line  now allows a comma and colon to be entered.
09/25/00 Fixed Technical Cards when a new customer was booked on the appointment book that showed an * (asterisks) in their name, clicking on the appointment followed by Technical Cards did not work correctly.
09/22/00 Made sure that the special customer name Retail does not show up on mailing lists.
09/22/00 The Close Day screen had stopped showing the Difference between the Actual and Calculated totals.  This has been fixed.
09/22/00 Added an Add Retail button to the Appointment Detail screen (the screen that comes up when you click on an appointment in the book).  This button allows retail items to be added to a customer's bill without going through the checkout process, allowing designers on the floor to use a computer terminal there to quickly update a customer's bill.
09/20/00 Updated database DLL driver to newest version 4.0 for all programs.
09/20/00 Corrected the Reports to stop saying, Invalid Formula, requiring the reports to be cancelled before operating correctly.
09/14/00 Corrected a problem that caused the Search to skip the last employee listed on the Appointment Book when searching for Any Employee to perform a service.
09/12/00 Corrected an error in Cancel Whole Appointment that caused the system to lock. To avoid the error click each appointment time and use Remove until you receive the next update. This does not occur often.
09/08/00 Corrected the Post Order function when an item was added to the order that was not originally ordered, the system would not post that item when the order came in.  This affected customers using the Post Inventory when Received option.
09/06/00 Added new feature to the Search feature to make it easier to select services and employees by adding the .. after each of them. 
09/06/00 Cleaned up the gift certificate purchase screen, taking away some options that were not used.  Also, added the ability to select packages when selling gift certificates.  Packages can be set up under Maintenance -> Spa Setup -> Package Setup.
09/05/00 Corrected the Verify Monies.  The first sale of a new week did not show in the Verify Monies.
09/05/00 Added new feature to the Service Maintenance when working with rooms, you can now specify a 2nd and 3rd room type to use when the primary room type is not available. This feature helps for couples rooms to book them last until all other massage rooms are booked.
08/31/00 Expanded feature the Spa/Salon Manager now supports 15 room types instead of 7.  The extra symbols are ( ) _ + | { } !  Call for details on setting up additional rooms.
08/31/00 Corrected an error for Spa's working with rooms. When an appointment was scheduled for the same services at a later date and the first appointment was cancelled the system would cancel both appointments. This error only occurred when a room was involved with the cancellation.
08/30/00 Corrected an error in Fast Retail when not using the Appointment Book the system would log out of the system two to three times daily. 
08/28/00 Added the Service, Retail, and Tax Totals to the information stored when a gift certificate is redeemed.
08/25/00 Changed the Volume Cost report so that items with a negative quantity on hand do not affect the total inventory value.
08/25/00 Increased the amount of space available for listing the services on the Employee Schedules.  If there is not enough space to list all of the services scheduled, it will now go to the line below to finish showing the services.
08/25/00 Corrected an error in the Payroll Manager after performing payroll the Daily Sheet showed each employee name at the bottom when no deduction was made from the employee.  This did not cause any problems with totals, but wasted paper.
08/24/00 Added in the ability to print account statements for customers that owe money on IOU's or N.S.F. Checks.  This new report is called Print Account Statements, and can be accessed by going to Reports -> Account Summaries -> Print Account Statements.
08/23/00 Corrected the Appointment Detail Confirm option, when confirming a customer the Booked By information was changed to who confirmed it loosing the person who actually booked the customer.
08/18/00 Added new feature to the Intercoms to allow them to be made Private. Private allows for the intended person to read the intercom and Management.  No intercoms are private from the owners of the business.
08/18/00 Fixed a bug in Intercoms when clicking on a message to read, if the message was missed it would display an old message that had already been deleted.
08/17/00 Corrected the new feature Added 3/15/00 that allows the Employee's order to be switched in the appointment book. The system was not switching the Valid Services, Working Hours and Appointment Log.
08/17/00 Made sure that when a service is changed from Employee Does Not Perform this Service, the valid days are all check marked.
08/17/00 Added the ability to copy booking styles from one employee to several others at one time.  Also fixed some issues with the copying of the days of week from one employee to another when copying booking styles.
08/15/00 Enhanced the entry of new Categories, Classifications, and Suppliers in the Add/Modify screens of Inventory.  When adding in what appears to be a new Category, Classification, or Supplier, the system checks if there are any that exist that are close to the new name, and if so, warns you that there is already a similar one entered.  It then gives you the choice of whether to use the existing Category/Classification/Supplier, or to add the new one. 
08/15/00 Removed some unnecessary fields from the inventory screen when adding items.  Fields such as the week, month, quarter, and year totals were not applicable when adding new items to the system, so they now only show up when modifying.
08/10/00 Added new section to Maintenance called Spa Setup.  This section allows you to set up what type of rooms you use in the spa, what rooms you have of each type, and what services need each room type.  It also allows quick access to service package setup.
08/09/00 Added new feature to the appointment book, when moving the mouse over the appointment book the cursor text is changed to explain the appointment book colors and features. If the cursor is moved over the dark blue the system states Non-working hours, Customers in Green says Confirmed and so forth.
08/04/00 Added the ability to print any technical cards available in the system as part of the Work Ticket.  The technical cards that are actually printed can be set under Maintenance -> Appointment -> Work Ticket Settings.
08/03/00 Corrected the Inventory Delete Classification and the Delete Supplier function. The system showed the wrong information when either the Classification or Supplier was deleted.
08/03/00 Added new feature to the Appointment Working Hours to verify that the Ending Hour is later than the Starting Hour. When entering the times you must specify P for PM.
08/03/00 Updated the OnLine Demonstration to show the new features.
08/03/00 Changed the heading in the Post Order to explain how to handle back orders. If an item is backordered, click on the item shown and change the quantity received to zero.
08/02/00 Fixed the Windows Payroll Manager Salon Net Payroll Report. The Net Payroll Report shown did not subtract the deductions from the Net Payroll Total.
08/02/00 Updated the Add Yearly Totals for Payroll to show the deduction category names to make it easier to add information.
08/02/00 Corrected the problem of not sending Rebuilding of the Email indexes each time the software was started. This only occurred to a few updates, but those affected we apologize.
08/02/00 Changed the Appointment Edit Info form Booking Reason to Requested Employee to match the Appointment Details screen.
08/02/00 Updated the Installation program to walk the customer through the sections that need to be completed. Added a new section to the web page for Getting Started to aid people when they need it the most.
08/02/00 Added in a question as to whether products returned under Correction - Product Return and Correction - Subtract Sale from a Previous Day were being put back on the shelf.  The system used to assume that they were being put back on the shelf, instead of asking.
07/27/00 Corrected the N.S.F. Check function, it would not allow new N.S.F. Checks to be entered.
07/26/00 Added in 7 new miscellaneous technical cards.  These can be set up with whatever titles and headings desired under Maintenance -> Technical, allowing you to create technical cards not currently in the system.  Five of these are pre-defined as Relaxer,  Massage, Body Treatments, Waxing, and Tinting to help you get started, but you can change any of them to fit your needs. 
07/24/00 Made some modifications to the Salon Use report to improve the readability.  Also added an option after you click Continue on the Salon Use Report screen to select only certain employees for the report.
07/20/00 Fixed the Send Email to Select Customers function. The system was not sending emails to the selected customers.
07/20/00 Fixed the Salon Net Payroll report. It was showing multiple pages before showing the Net Payroll totals on the last page. The information was correct, except not shown as the first page of the report.
07/19/00 Corrected the Appointment Schedules when selecting particular employees to print the system showed the schedules for employees not selected.
07/19/00 Added new feature to Payroll Manager the system now prints a 941 Worksheet. The 941 Worksheet can be used to aid in the preparation of quarterly reports. All information should be verified with your accountant.
07/17/00 Added new feature to Payroll Manager the system now allows W2's to be printed from the system.  Either all or a single W2 can be specified.
07/17/00 Added new feature to Spa/Salon Manager to automatically repeat the question for the System Utility Agent when it is on the task bar. Some salons were missing the question and the system agent would not run until the question was answered.
07/14/00 Fixed the Payroll Deductions when saving the 9th deduction for an employee the information would not save.
07/14/00 Fixed a problem with the Pay In/Out the function Cash a Check would not allow you to save the information.
07/11/00 Fixed a problem in the DOS Salon Manager, which caused totals for salons with large Gift Certificate sales during a week to be unable to get the miscellaneous transaction summary under Print Prior Reports with an Error #14.
07/11/00 Fixed a problem where the Enter key did not move the cursor from the customer name line to the address line when entering information for a new customer.
07/11/00 Added the ability to filter any customers that do have an email address out of a mailing.  This is very useful if you have already used the bulk email feature of the program to send email to everyone that has email addresses, and only want to send mail to the people who did not receive the email.
07/11/00 Strange information and gibberish was showing up at the top of the inventory order report.  This has been fixed, which will also make the optional company letterhead feature work correctly on this report.
07/10/00 Added new feature to avoid errors for new users. In many cases, a new salon is overwhelmed with the procedures required to utilize the Spa/Salon Manager forgetting to Close the Period. The system will now automatically close the period once the day has been closed forty-eight times without doing the Close Period. The Close Period should be done on Saturday weekly or the last day of the payroll period. For example, the 15th and 30th of the month. This avoids errors that are created by not performing the Close Period.
07/07/00 Updated the Play Salon to allow it to be updated once per day.
07/06/00 Find Another Appointment was not working from the Appointment Book. It now allows you to search for multiple customers.
07/01/00 Added Vermont to list of states supported by Payroll Manager.
07/01/00 Added new feature to selling Gift Certificates to allow selling by number instead of by customer name.  At check out, if the customer does not have a Gift Certificate by name the computer prompts for Gift Certificate number to be utilized. Clicking on the Gift Certificate prompt allows Gift Certificate Series or Minute information to be recorded for zero dollar sales. This would be used for tanning for a series purchase if no money is recorded.
07/01/00 Added new feature to the appointment book when scheduling an employee and a room. The receptionist can now choose the room to be booked by selecting the employee and the room using the View Select.  The computer will use that employee and the room selected instead of the first room available.  This feature would allow you to keep a technician in a particular room when booking.
07/01/00 Corrected the Employee Payroll Check stub to correctly calculate the year-to-date figures for State, Medicare and the total deductions. This error only affected the payroll check stub.
06/30/00 Added the ability to choose which technical cards should show up on the Work Ticket.  The hair, perm, color, and miscellaneous cards all used to show up, but now you may choose which ones out of these four you want to use.
06/29/00 Added access to the number keypad for touch screen users into the Pay In/Out section, and to the price change screen.
06/28/00 Added support for Canadian GST and PST taxes.  The file Canad0.tax must exist in the c:\salon\ directory on the host computer for this change to take effect. To find totals for GST and PST taxes use the Date Range, Salon report.
06/28/00 Fixed problem where the Close Day in the Play Spa/Salon Manager told the regular Spa/Salon Manager that the Close Day was currently running.
06/26/00 Added the ability to do Mailing Reports that bring up all of the customers that purchased a specific retail category, classification, or supplier.

06/19/00 Fixed the List Employee Sales when utilizing Custom Passwords the system did not allow the employees  to retrieve their sales information.

05/23/00 Fixed an error in the Custom Passwords that did not allow an employee on custom passwords to be able to print birthday labels.  Be aware, allow an employee to print birthday labels is the same as allow them to print the mailing list (All they have to do is select all months)!

04/26/00 Changed the Confirmation when doing by Email the system only shows the employees first name and last initial when sent to the customer. For privacy purposes the last name of the employee is no longer sent to the customer. Also formatted the confirmation email to look nicer.

04/25/00 Fixed the Payroll reports when listing from date to date for a specific employee (Employee Net Payroll) the system was including an extra date past the date specified showing incorrect totals. This affected quarterly reports by Employee only. After the update the report shows the correct totals for the employees.
04/24/00 Added new feature allowing customers to be Emailed from within the program.  Customers can be selected using the Mailing by checking the Email Only checkbox.  This will only create a list of names to be emailed by the system. Switching employee positions is a very long process and can only be done at the end of a pay period before any new sales are entered into the system. Any additional terminals must be out of the Spa/Salon Manager system. Before switching employees, the system backs up all information. IBCS does not recommend switching employees in general.
03/15/00 Changes to the phone numbers made on the Waiting List screen were not being saved.  This has been fixed. 
03/15/00 Added an option to the Greeting Schedules called New Customer Listing.  Clicking the box makes the Greeting Schedule only show new customers, so that the front desk can have a list of what new customers are coming in that day, who they are seeing, and when.

02/28/00 Added new feature for customers using Bar Code Scanners, you can now scan the item when the cursor is at any payment prompt on the customer payment screen.  This eliminates clicking the Add Retail and then scanning the item which speeds up the process of selling retail.
02/24/00 Changed the Payroll Manager program when printing single checks the system checkmarks that the checks have been printed.
02/24/00 Corrected the Remove function for IOU's, NSF and Gift Certificate on the Customer Display.  The system would sometimes lock and not remove all items.  The system now shows a status counter to show the progress of the function.

For salons or Day Spa's that utilize Work Tickets typing the number in can be faster to locate the customer that had been checked in. 02/18/00 Updated the Dos Payroll Manager to save the date correctly.  When running a Accrued Payroll report the dates were not showing correctly for January and February.  If you have this problem, contact IBCS to update your data files.

01/19/00 Payroll for Windows has been completed redone.  I admit (Kent) the Payroll system seemed logical and easy to the person that wrote it. Though after listening to the technical support questions being asked, I realized that the Payroll Process was only easy to myself. The Payroll Screen has been redesigned showing the steps numbered in the Payroll Box.  Complete each step starting at #1 through #5. After each step is completed, a checkmark is displayed in the button to allow you to stop and restart knowing which steps you have completed.  Additionally, the Payroll Ending Dates have a message explaining their importance along with a warning if dates are overlapped which would cause incorrect service and retail totals for the employees.
